In fact, this diy potato gun project is a lot more fun than we imagined, it was easy to build and we even learned a little bit about PVC pipes and the physics of combustion. Seriously, their plans are only $4.99 and they are some of the most well written assembly instructions we have ever seen. They step you easily through the assembly process, they include tons of pictures to show you exactly what to do, and they even include a shopping list. All the parts you need can be purchased from a local hardware store, and it’s amazing how you can turn these ordinary parts into a fully functioning potato cannon. You simply put the potato in your barrel, add fuel, hit the ignition button and BOOM, you send your potato high into the sky. Be careful though, this cannon is not a toy, and you really need to read and follow the safety instructions carefully.
